I absolutely love to read. Living a stressful life in London makes you value the special moments when you can indulge in a book and escape reality – on the train on the way to work, in bed before you sleep, on the couch on a Sunday. I am one of those people that try and convert everyone around me to this hobby… I offer books for Birthdays and Christmas even if the person doesn’t like to read… it sounds weird (and possibly a slightly bit annoying I know) but I always feel that there is a book for everyone, a book that will make a non-reader feel the magic and embark on a reading trip forever. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t either way, I value the lessons books can pass from reader to reader. So anyway, I wrote all of this because I stumbled upon these photos tonight, by a designer called Mladen Penev, that visualised how I feel when I read a good book bang on the nail. A great read engulfs you, the words leap right out of the page and hug you and it makes for one of the most special experiences ever. Have a look at Penev’s photos, they are perfect!
